Awards“Best Custom Home In Its Category”Back in 2002, planning and construction began on a detailed weatherboard home that was to compliment the traditional Victorian streetscape from the exterior and continue this feel throughout internally. Using a cross between traditional and conventional building methods, materials and concepts, this project exceeded expectations in all areas. MBA Quote: Applauded by the judges for its strong integration with the local streetscape, this weatherboard home recreates the style of the early 1900s. Fine attention to details delivers a good blend of old charm with new construction as evidenced with the bull nose veranda, bay window with feather leadlight glazing and decorative timber fretwork. This detail is continued throughout, with spotted gum polished timber flooring and period features such as ceiling roses, hallway arches, ornate cornicing and colonial glazing. Compatible to family living, the three bedrooms, including the master suite are positioned to the front while the rear opens to a spacious entertaining zone.
